  • Another of Dublin's excellent free museums to visit - when I went in late March 2019, there were an impressive number of displays and artifacts about Ireland's early history, although it's worth mentioning that the 'Kingship and Sacrifice' section on the ground floor contains some disturbing mutilated bodies - just a disclaimer! While you are forced to enter (and exit) the museum through the gift shop, I found it to be well stocked and also had a nice lunch in the attached Brambles cafe.
  • Lots to see and best part is its FREE! Viking, Medieval history artifacts along with Egypt and tons more to look at. Definitely well worth the time and centrally located a few blocks down from Grafton Street. Highly recommend! This is the best museum on Kildare street.
