National Botanic Gardens is noted for housing several architecturally significant glasshouses and a national herbarium. This all-weather attraction contains outdoor displays, featuring walled and kitchen gardens, as well as indoor exhibit areas dedicated to both native and exotic plants. Inside the curvilinear glasshouses, designed by famed glasshouse builder Richard Turner, you can see a series of digitally controlled plant habitats replicating different natural environments from around the world. The gardens also display a historically important collection of orchids, grown as part of a renowned breeding program that dates back to 1844. • This botanical garden can also be accessed by visiting the cemetery of Glasvenin to which it is attacked. Very well cared for and with a great variety of tropical plants, preserved in the spectacular monumental greenhouses.

  • The very beautiful garden, well arranged and with several greenhouses, has connection to the cemetery. It is free and for those who like to stroll and a place not to be missed.

  • Great place to go for a walk. Lovely scenery and the greenhouses have some I pressure plants and trees. My daughter was very excited to see a tortoise in the little pond there at the same time as a squirrel was sneaking past. The cafe was also very good. Fish and chips and chicken and chips for the kids. Good food and great portions.
  • Lovely place to spend a quiete time in the greenery. Big lush green park with many species of plants and trees. Most of the trees are names. Beautifully laid walk ways along the park with signboards. There is a stream of water flowing through the park which adds to the beauty of it. There is also a coffee shop and toilet facilities available.
