Trip Planner: Europe / Ireland / Province of Leinster / County Dublin / Dublin / Jameson Distillery Bow St.
Have some history with your Irish coffee at Jameson Distillery Bow St., which provides guided tours and tutored tastings of its best-selling whiskey. The distillery closed for business in 1971 and the building now houses a visitor center and bar, located right above the original fermentation vats, which you can still see through the glass floor of the atrium. Guided tours explain the history of Irish whiskey through a series of reconstructed scenes from the old distillery, as well as through several exhibit areas displaying all of the main stages of traditional whiskeymaking. If the tour's complimentary glass just doesn't hit the spot, drop by the second-floor restaurant, where you can take the next drink with a gourmet meal. Make Jameson Distillery Bow St. a centerpiece of your Dublin vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Dublin online vacation planner .

Took the Bow St. Experience tour. We had a wonderful tour guide. The whole experience was well executed, informative with lots of cool modern/interactive features. There is a 3 whiskey tasting at the end where you get to try a bourbon, scotch and Jameson - here you get to experience the difference tastes and textures of the 3 different drinks, our explained what aspects of the distilling process causes these difference (obviously the Jameson was the best). Cool vibe in the bar after the tour.
Took the 40 minute tour with Connor and had a great time. It was a great history and whiskey making lesson. Lots of hands-on opportunities with a whiskey sampling session and drink voucher. The bar is a cool area to chill and have a drink as well. Highly recommended!
