Trip Planner: Europe / Ireland / Province of Leinster / County Dublin / Dublin / Guinness Storehouse
Have a pint of Ireland's favorite beer at Guinness Storehouse, which narrates the history of one of the country's major exports. The old storehouse is the only part of a massive brewery open to the public--its signature attraction is a glass atrium designed to resemble a pint of Guinness. Discover the history of both the historical brewery and the popular brand on the ground floor, and then proceed up through seven more floors that demonstrate everything from the selection of barley and hops to the transportation and advertising of the finished product. Once you reach the top, claim your complimentary pint of the black brew at the storehouse's glass-enclosed bar, which offers panoramic views of the city. Guinness Storehouse Reviews
This is a well structured, self guided tour with a ton of interesting displays and presentations. There is food (and of course, drink) available with an excellent gift shop. Oriented to the... more »
Come and pull your own pint of Guinness, take in the view from the sixth floor and find out the history of this unique drink. Good for a few hours and price included in the entry, queue to learn how..... more »
Very polished without much depth. Did you know Arthur Guinness signed a 9000 year lease? Because you'll hear it at least four times through your tour. Best part of the tour was the section on coopers. I left with a new appreciation of barrels but didn't learn much about their contents.
Ireland’s most popular tourist attraction! A 7-story landmark in the heart of Dublin, the Guinness Storehouse marks the spot where Arthur Guinness himself famously signed the 9,000-year lease on St. James' Gate Brewery all the way back in 1759. Take the Guinness Storehouse tour and learn the art of pouring the perfect pint. Tip: Skip the line, buy your ticket online. t’s a self-guided tour, but the routes are all one-way. The tours progress as you take the escalators up to the next floor. There is no escalator down. There is an elevator, but that’s available at the top to take you all the way to the ground floor. We chose not to do the whole tour, as our time in Dublin was limited and had other stops to make. There are several dining options available. We had fish ‘n chips while we were there and it was very tasty! The highlight of this tour is without doubt the Gravity Bar at the top of the building where you get to enjoy Guinness and a 7 story panoramic view of the city.
