Listen to the drums and fiddles echo off the cliffs on Dingle Peninsula, a landscape dominated by the Slieve Mish mountain range and rugged coastlines and known for its rich Irish music tradition. Tall, jagged cliffs rise out of the waters, while sandy beaches offer some of the best surfing in Ireland, with certain areas also safe for swimming. Hiking trails range from challenging to easy and cut across the dynamic peninsula through mountains and over plateaus. The communities that live on the peninsula offer you fine dining, art galleries, and plenty of pubs with live traditional Irish music. Consider staying more than one day on the peninsula to experience all its natural and cultural highlights. Dingle Peninsula Reviews
Jeżeli jesteś gdzieś niedaleko warto zainwestować dzień lub choćby pół dnia na pętlę wokół najbardziej wysuniętej na zachód części półwyspu Dingle. Spacery po nadmorskich wzgórzach niepowtarzalne :) more »If you are somewhere near, it is worth to invest a day or even half a day to the loop around the westernmost part of the Dingle Peninsula. Huge clean stretch of a lovely beach. Couple of eating and drinking options on the beach itself. Few hotels overlooking the Atlantic as well on the near by cliff. A good spot for surfing, probably the best in Ireland. A must visit with family.
Picturesque!!! Plenty of places to pull off and get those phenomenal family photos!!! For those of you that are willing to take the "plunge" and drive, it not for the faint of heart! The roads are about 10 feet wide (for traffic moving both directions) with cliffs of one side and a small rock wall with a straight drop off on the other. The average speed of the locals is about 60 KMH! It was a fantastic drive throughout and we will be doing it again!
