To see some truly one-of-a-kind art, take a stroll along East Side Gallery. This 1.3 km (0.8 mi) long stretch of the Berlin Wall is near the center of the city. One of the largest remaining portions of the former border between East and West Germany, this now serves as an international memorial of freedom. You'll see that the remains of the wall are painted with provocative and thought-provoking murals, political and otherwise. This open-air art gallery is a work in progress, so you'll find that creative local artists constantly add new images. Stop by to have your picture taken in front of a living piece of history. Beautidul and really painfull spot too. Although it's art and beauty it is hard to acknowledge the bad history it's support. more »

This is a big open-air gallery in Berlin. The wall is 1316 m long (the largest in the world) and located near the center of Berlin. It is a heritage protected landmark. As I read earlier, this wall has a three million visitors per year. I enjoyed walking besides the wall. It has got a powerful energy indeed. It’s worth your time there

An awesome walk along the river with fantastic, intriguing street art to look on the wall along the way! It’s a great way to appreciate the history and culture of Berlin. Unfortunately I can’t give 5 stars as they were doing construction which interferes with your experience and view of the wall. If you’re visiting Berlin, I would still recommend a visit - I would also recommend going earlier in the morning as it’s much quieter and you can get some great pictures.
