Good place to visit for castle fans and for photographers with marvellous views of the town and the mountains. Take a drink with you as no tea room or toilets at the top. Edit: I went up the stairs so it felt a bit longer but there is a lift/elevator connecting the entrance (with toilets) and the castle. Thank you by the way for the speedy reply, I seem to have managed to miss the tea-room so am glad to hear that there is one. Have added an extra star :).
Costs 7.50€ for the full adult price, but only 3.50€ for students. Good deal if studying in a school or university. The museum itself is quite fascinating and is renovated from the remains of an old castle. Different rooms are labelled to help visitors navigate around the museum and the castle courtyard towards the various exhibits, which are in separate rooms dispersed throughout the castle. As a whole, the museum focuses on the history of the people that have inhabited the Pyrenean region, as well as their lifestyles and culture. Worthwhile if you are able to get some kind of discount (for groups, families, students, etc.) The top of the castle also boasts a wonderful view of the city.
