  • Amazing sand... the finest sand on the fresh water beaches in Canada till date for me. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves a good outing on a sandy beach. The amenities are top notch. Try to park in P8 parking lot. They have a good blue access mat over the sand so you don't have to drag your strollers or carriages.
  • The beaches at Sandbanks Provincial Park are great - 3 main beaches with Dunes beach being the more 'sheltered' beach with calmer waters. Outlet beach has a large stretch of sandy beach with lots of room for families to 'claim a spot' on the beach. The water slopes out gradually allowing a good area in the water to wade and play. The beach has protected dunes but the park has walking trails to explore protected areas. Great biking trails as well. Washrooms and change facilities available. Best to avoid busy long weekend crowds unless that's your thing. There are fees for park entry to beaches.
