Harrison Park, Owen Sound

In a city that offers a lot as far as outdoor activities go, Harrison Park is yet another great place to spend some time enjoying the area. At first glance, There is lots of for you and the kiddies: playground equipment, mini golf, wildlife, camping and an ice cream stand. In winter there is ice skating too! Walk over that bridge and take a hike on the trails. Some are easy, some are pretty challenging. All-in-all, this is a terrific place to spend the day.

Scenic, tranquil. There is a tasty, reasonably priced restaurant with lots of free parking. There is a campground. It has an enclosure with different species of birds including ducks, geese and peacocks. It's free. Donations are appreciated. People are friendly and helpful, including the ones who don't work there. The driveway in to the park has been re-done. It's so smooth. It really winds around and feels a bit narrow. But that could just be me. Lots to do. You can walk along the river or take a paddle boat. You can have a picnic. Totally recommend it.
