Capilano River Regional Park is located in the District of North Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. It is one of twenty-one regional parks operated by the Metro Vancouver. The park encompasses most of the upstream areas of the Capilano River below the Cleveland Dam. The area north of the dam surrounding Capilano Lake is closed to the public as it is a GVRD watershed. The privately operated Capilano Suspension Bridge crosses the river, but it is not within park boundaries and does not access the park.

    Another free visit. the park is not far from the Capilano suspension bridge. it is a beautiful place. The forests were beautiful with the leaves just starting to change color A very pleasant stop on....  more »

    We went for an afternoon walk in this park. The weather was cool, sunny and perfect temperature. It was not filled with lots of people and the walk in the forest was soul soothing and magnificent. I.....  more »

    The hatchery, dam, and trails are simply must-see in my opinion. The forest is beautiful and thick with huge, mossy trees. The dam and hatchery are also spectacular. Highly recommend starting from trails on the south west side of Capilano river and taking them all the way up to the hatchery, then to the dam, then back around to the east side and following it back down the river. Oh yeah; it's free!

    A real regional treasure! I recently moved near this park and regret not making the trek more often before I did. All kinds of trails and little bridges and lookout points from Park Royal to Cleveland Dam, points between including camp capilano, the hatchery, the suspension bridge attraction, giant fir trail, etc etc come for a walk soon!
