  Large collection of aboriginal ant and artifacts. Best selection of North QLD shields you will find anywhere. Parts of the Natural History Museum are a bit dated but is being improved. Great museum but you can give the food a miss - have tried it on more than one occasion and wasn’t worth eating. Ordered a tasting platter during the mummy exhibit and it came with multi colored white bread.

  I totally loved showing my UK Guest around this wonderful gallery. Knowledgeable and engaging staff added to our enjoyment. The Aboriginal Exhibits were amazing. I felt truly touched by the profound beauty of each painting. Appreciating, exhibiting and celebrating the unique art of Australia makes me proud. My friend who is a designer was enamoured by the colours of Jacaranda. I'm expecting that will be a new addition to her paint range very soon. Inspired by our visit.
